EMI SOLUTIONS

Due to the pressure of getting a product to market, and fast development cycles, products are often designed with limited consideration for EMC.

An EMC test failure is the last thing you need, with a marketing department keen to sell product.

EMI SOLUTIONS provides product designers and developers with the opportunity for EMI/EMC testing of products on site, at your premises, at your convenience, and solving problems before problems are designed into a product.

We bring the EMC test equipment to you

Our team of experienced engineers, and support staff, have over 20 years experience in electronic product design, PCB layout for EMC compliance, EMC prototype testing, and formal EMC testing. We can also arrange for, and be present during, the formal EMC testing phase at local, world class, testing facilities if required.

We offer a complete service to satisfy your requirements:

If you have just failed a test: with a product ready for production- we can review the test report and recommend cost effective changes that will get the product through the next test, and into production faster

If you are about to go to test,: we can visit your premises and test for Conducted Emissions, Radiated Emissions and Static compliance before the formal EMC test

If you are part way through a design :we can review the existing design and recommend changes for EMC, and test on site, before the product is considered for a formal test.

If you have built a few PCBs and have a basic prototype: we can test individual PCBs as part of a system, and recommend changes for EMC

If you haven’t started yet: we can advise your designers what to do for compliance before they begin designing

Please contact EMI Solutions by phone 0403 137652, or by Post to PO Box 603, Five Dock NSW 2046, or complete the enquiry form.

Help us to help you…………………..

Before we review you product, or PCB designs, for minimum emi, we would like to know:

  1. A list of all the clocks that your design uses- make sure you list the exact frequency on the case of the crystal, clock chip or resonator. Eg 11.023MHz not simply 11 MHz
  2. Logic families used, and where, in the design?
  3. A grounding layout of your design. Where do the ground connections terminate?
  4. Power rails- how and where are the Analog and Digital power supplies connected?
  5. What type of cables and how are external cables connected to the product?
  6. How and where is mains power connected?

This information will save a significant amount of time and money, and help resolve problems sooner.
